ERVYSL Fortuna

The primary focus of Eel River Valley Youth Soccer is to provide a positive and fun soccer experience for our local community of youth soccer players, ages 4 to 14. Player must be 4 years of age by July 31st of the season year in order to play that season.  You may register by clicking on the link under the Registration and Forms tab.

Our recreation program accepts registration during the months of May and June.  Registrations will not be accepted after June 30th.  In July we will form teams based on the number of registrations in each age group. We often depend on parent coaches who are willing to find out just how fun it is to step up and be a coach. ERVYSL is excited to be holding its Jamboree on Saturday, August 14th, to be held at Newburg Fields. The last game of the season will fall on October 23rd.

CAL NORTH requires that any adult who interacts with the players MUST participate in Live Scan fingerprinting prior to being approved for team assignment. This is mandatory for all adults who are rostered to a team. You can get fingerprinted at the Fortuna police department, the Humboldt County sheriff's department, HSU, and at our onsite Livescan dates TBD.  Livescan forms can be found under Regisration and forms.

Practices may start the week beginning:  August 2, 2021.  Your coach will let you know when practices will be held and on which field location.
Jamboree:  August 14th, 2021.
End of Seaason:  October 23rd, 2021.
Some teams may have longer or shorter seasons depending on the weather and make-up games.  Some games will not be played at Newburg Park and will require travel to SoHum, Eureka, and Mckineyville (Hiller Fields.). You may end up playing the same team more than once depending on the amount of players that sign-up per age goup.  Please be patient with schedules as we are working with other leagues and their location and available times.

ERVYSL will refund $50 of our $90 registration fee if we are notified before we roster teams in early July for (2) circumstances:  1.) Registered players wh have a valid medical issue that prevents that players ability to play soccer for more than 1/2 of or regular season.  2.). The registered player and family are moving out of the area and notify the league before teams are rostered.
NO REFUND ($0) WILL BE ISSUED for any reasonn after teams have been rostered in July, unless we cannot provide the registered player a place to play soccer.  At the point of rostering, ERVYSL has paid a non-refundable fee to CalNorth, banking fees, purchased uniforms, paid for field space and maintenance, and collectively put all volunteer efforts into creating a great soccer enviornment for each of our members to play soccer.  All it takes is one player to force an entire rearrangement of al the teams in one age group and the ERVYSL to incur enormous and unecessary cost.
