It covers concussion, cardiac arrest, and weather related illness and takes approximately 30 minutes to complete.  There is not a certification of completion for this course, so please take a screenshot from your coaching account in the US Soccer Learning Center that shows your name AND the “passed” status and upload that to your GotSport account.

2) SafeSport- must complete a refresher each year. These courses are required through legislation enacted by federal law. Upon completion, download and save a copy of your certificate and upload it to your GotSport account. Approximately 90 minutes - New Coaches or a 15 minute refresher.

3) Background Check- must be completed each year.  A background check is a process a person or company uses to verify that an individual is who they claim to be.  This provides an opportunity to check and confirm the validity of someone's criminal record, education, employment history, and other activities from their past. After registering with GotSport, from the Dashboard, click on “Details” after the Background Check button to complete the initial intake then an email will be sent to you with a link to the formal background questionnaire.  This must be completed within 14 days of receipt and therefore should be finished as soon as possible to allow for processing.  Results can take 2 to 4 weeks, which makes it crucial that ERVYSL have coaches registered and approved as soon as possible.  Coaches must renew their background questionnaire annually.

4) LiveScan* If this is your first year coaching for ERVYSL, you will need to complete the LiveScan process (even if you've been LiveScanned for a previous endeavor). If you've previously been LiveScanned for ERVYSL, GotSport will activate a refresh upon registration.
